Xiao Haisheng

This exhibition presents the work of Xiao Haisheng, who skillfully layers scenes to depict the climate, architecture, and spirit of southern China, blending personal memories into symbolic spaces.

Xiao also explores deeper themes through varied media, notably transforming books to express skepticism toward reality. His “Twelve Zodiac Animals” series critically examines modern society’s fascination with “zodiac babies,” reflecting on humanity’s unnatural reproductive behaviors shaped by concerns for future generations.
