About this painting

Heavy black blocks lock together like the pieces of a hand-drawn labyrinth, each one wrapped in a narrow beige band that keeps it from touching its neighbours. No shape leads: brackets, U-turns, a coiled form like a reversed 3 on the right and a tall rounded slab near the middle all carry equal weight, packed out to every edge of the vertical frame.

The lines are freehand rather than ruled, so corners lean and bands swell and narrow as they turn. Inside the black, the brush has left faint dragged streaks that catch the light, while the small cream pockets between bands stay plain.

AA#1233 is an original abstract geometric painting showing black blocky maze-like shapes outlined in beige on cream, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

With no obvious top or centre, the pattern holds up when seen at an angle, so it suits the long flank of a corridor or the landing outside a lift, where people pass rather than stop. Limewashed plaster, pale oak and blackened steel all sit well beside it; keep rugs and cushions plain. In an office, a 48x64 in canvas behind a meeting table gives the room a graphic edge without bringing in colour.

Specified for corridor & circulation, workspace & office, entryway & hallway and living room; it reads as bold.

Pairs well with

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for AA#1233 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Flat brushwork takes less paint and time than impasto or relief work of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on AA#1233 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Is AA#1233 based on lettering or a real maze?

Neither, as far as the canvas shows. The shapes recall letterforms and the walls of a maze, but none spells a word or forms a path you could follow. They are abstract blocks, arranged so that the beige bands set the rhythm as much as the black does.

What do the beige bands around each black shape do in AA#1233?

The beige band softens the jump from black to cream. Without it the contrast would be stark and printed-looking; with it each shape looks slightly cut out and layered, and the whole canvas reads warmer, which helps it sit beside oak, linen and stone rather than chrome and bright white.

Is AA#1233 a print or an original painting?

An original. AA#1233 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of AA#1233 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
