About this painting

Thick ribbons of cobalt, cerulean and violet paint crowd the canvas, split by a lime and mint green sweep that runs from the top centre down toward the right edge. Every mark was laid with a palette knife, and the ridges stand proud across the whole surface.

Dark purple drags fall almost vertically at upper left, while the lower third settles into horizontal bands of sky blue and lilac. A pale white-lavender patch at upper right is the only quiet ground. Pinpricks of yellow keep the cool palette lively.

AA#1231 is an original abstract painting showing sweeping blue, lilac and lime knife strokes, non-representational, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Use it where a cool, busy surface helps: a reception wall behind a pair of lounge chairs, the end wall of an open-plan office, or above a living-room sofa against white or pale plaster. The tall format fills the space between two windows without needing a partner. Because every stroke is raised, a ceiling track light angled from one side makes the ridges cast small shadows, while flat front lighting shows the colour but hides that relief.

Specified for workspace & office, lobby & reception, living room and home office; it reads as uplifting and vibrant.

Pairs well with

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for AA#1231 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on AA#1231 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Is the blue and lime knife painting meant to show water or a garden?

No, it is non-representational: nothing on the canvas is drawn as an object. The mix of blue, lilac and green often reminds people of water, sky or foliage, and that open reading suits a shared space where each visitor brings their own associations.

Which accent colours sit well next to the cobalt and lime strokes?

Warm rust, terracotta and cognac leather work best, because orange tones sit opposite blue on the colour wheel and make both look richer. Natural brass and pale ash suit it too. Avoid a second strong blue nearby, which competes with the cobalt in the strokes.

Is AA#1231 a print or an original painting?

An original. AA#1231 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of AA#1231 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
