Studio photograph of the actual canvas. Yours is repainted to your dimensions, so brushwork will differ slightly — that is what an original is.

About this painting

Speckled patches of bronze and ochre sit on the inner edge of each grey panel, so when the pair hangs side by side the two warm spots almost meet across the gap.

Everything around them is cool. The upper third of both canvases is white and pale grey, crossed by faint scribbled lines, and below it heavy charcoal and slate blocks stack up toward the base, with ochre streaks running off the patches like spilt paint. The knife strokes are broad and mostly sideways, laid thick enough in the whites to leave ridges, and the right panel adds a tall slate column dropping from its top edge.

AA#1224 is an original abstract painting showing grey, white and ochre palette-knife abstract, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 53×80 in. Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Grey, charcoal and ochre belong with concrete, slate, smoked oak and blackened steel, and with grey or camel upholstery. Above a long, low sideboard the pair can span the width the furniture sets; in a guest suite it can take the wall opposite the bed, where the white upper halves keep it from feeling heavy in a dim room. A warm downlight brings up the bronze in the patches, while cold LED flattens the ochre and turns the pair nearly monochrome.

Specified for corridor & circulation, guest room & suite, living room and bedroom; it reads as moody and cozy & warm.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for AA#1224 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 53×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on AA#1224 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Are these grey and ochre panels actually blue?

No, they are grey. Some of the darker blocks carry a faint slate-blue cast, but the panels are mainly white, pale grey and charcoal, with ochre as the only real colour. Beside true navy they look grey; beside warm beige they lean slightly blue.

What happens to the ochre patches if the two panels are spaced far apart?

They stop reading as a pair. Each patch sits on the inner edge of its panel, so hung three to six centimetres apart they face each other like halves of one warm shape. Spread across a wide wall, each panel becomes its own grey picture with an ochre mark at one side.

Is AA#1224 a print or an original painting?

An original. AA#1224 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of AA#1224 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
