About this painting

Scarlet poppies crowd a long field from edge to edge, their largest heads massed at the left and in the foreground while smaller ones recede toward a band of orange sunset. Every bloom is built from two or three curled knife strokes of red around a dark centre, and green buds on wire-thin stems poke up between them.

Under the flowers the stems turn blue and teal, a cool undertone that keeps the red from going flat. The sky is the roughest part of the surface: slate blue at the top left, broken orange cloud, and a pale cream glow just right of centre where the sun has dropped.

CA#1239 is an original colorful floral painting showing red poppies in a green field beneath an orange and blue sunset sky, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 11 standard sizes run from 36×18 in (91×46 cm) to 100×50 in (254×127 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

At two to one the canvas behaves like a wide window onto the field, so give it a long, uninterrupted run of wall: above a bistro banquette, behind a hotel front desk, or along a dining sideboard where the line of poppies sits near seated eye level. Cream plaster, oak and tan leather all pick up the sunset orange. The sky holds the most ridged paint, so a ceiling spotlight aimed at a steep angle will lift the cloud strokes.

Specified for lobby & reception, restaurant & bar, dining room and living room; it reads as bold and uplifting.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for CA#1239 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 36×18 in to 100×50 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on CA#1239 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

What are the green ovals dotted among the red flowers in CA#1239?

They are unopened poppy buds, which on a real field rise among the open flowers on the same thin stems. Dotted above the scarlet heads, they break up the row of red so the scene feels alive and still growing rather than repeating as a pattern.

Where has the sun set in CA#1239?

Just right of centre, below the cloud line. The sky is palest there, cream almost to white, and shades out through orange to slate blue in the top corners, so the poppies in front sit partly in silhouette against the brightest strip of the canvas.

Is CA#1239 a print or an original painting?

An original. CA#1239 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of CA#1239 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
