A blossom branch sweeps the full width of the canvas, dipping through the middle and lifting again at the right, studded with five-petalled pink flowers that stand out in raised paint. The ground is the larger story: forest green on the left, streaked downward like rain on glass, opening into pale sage and mint toward the right.

Across the top the surface has been scraped and lifted into flaky, crackled patches with flashes of white beneath, like weathered plaster. Small leaves and white buds gather at the darker left end, where the branch is densest.
