About this painting

A white peony opens across almost the whole canvas, its ruffled outer petals flushed pink and its heart glowing yellow and coral where the light seems to fall. Deep magenta strokes at the base of the petals mark where the flower meets its stem.

The petals are laid in heavy palette-knife ridges, white over white, so their form comes from the relief of the paint more than from shading. Behind, a turquoise ground is scraped thin and crazed at the top, then warms to ochre and sand at the lower right. Dark green and olive leaves fan out below the bloom.

TA#1219 is an original textured floral painting showing single white peony with yellow and pink centre in thick knife petals on a blue and gold ground, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

With one flower filling the frame, the image stays legible from a reception entrance or down the length of a hall, so the larger sizes suit a double-height wall or the panel beside a fireplace. Turquoise sets the scheme: white walls, pale oak and sea-glass blue sit well with it, and one coral or raspberry accent nearby picks up the heart of the bloom. Strong daylight keeps the whites crisp.

Specified for lobby & reception, gallery & retail, entryway & hallway and living room; it reads as uplifting and romantic.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for TA#1219 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Because the surface is not rolled, the choice is between stretched, ready to hang, and stretched in a frame; a frame costs more.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on TA#1219 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Is the flower in TA#1219 a peony or a rose?

A peony. The loose, cupped mass of broad ruffled petals around a yellow centre is much fuller and less spiralled than a rose. The pink flush on the outer petals is common in white peonies just after they open, and the coral heart is where the stamens sit.

How do the white petals of TA#1219 look in side light?

Since the petals are white on white, their shape comes mainly from the ridges of paint. Light from one side makes each knife stroke cast a thin shadow, so the flower looks fuller and more sculpted; flat front lighting softens it into a paler, more painterly bloom.

Is TA#1219 a print or an original painting?

An original. TA#1219 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of TA#1219 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
