Who we supply · Procurement & contracting

You have sold the hotel its art package. Now you need the hand-painted lines painted to your spec, on your date, by a studio that stays in touch

If you are a hospitality art company or hotel-art manufacturer, the concepts are approved and the artwork schedule is written; what you are placing now is the hand-painted part of it, while your own shop prints, frames and installs the rest. What you need from a studio is a production partner rather than a catalogue: your spec followed, your palette matched, a run of 120 that holds to the approved sample, a date you can pass to the hotel, and photographs you can forward while the work is being painted. That is how we run: 1,455 original hand-painted works at Siji Art Hub in Foshan, any of them painted again in your size and palette, or a new piece from your own reference; about a week to paint and 3–7 days in transit; a quote within one business day; progress photos at every stage; and every piece signed by its painter with a certificate of authenticity.

Who this page is for

You are probably a hospitality art company, hotel-art manufacturer or art-package contractor in the United States, the United Kingdom or Europe. You hold the contract with the hotel owner, the brand or its purchasing agent; you develop the concepts and write the artwork schedule; you print, frame and install what your own shop can; and you place the hand-painted originals with outside studios, some of them in China already. You buy in repeat volume: several projects a year, anywhere from a few dozen to a few hundred hand-painted pieces per project, with the sample approved by someone else's designer and the date fixed by someone else's opening.

The firms in this trade describe the job in the same terms: managing the art commissioning process with art fabrication expertise and handling labelling, packing and shipping for the hotel 1; partnering with interior designers, procurement teams and hotel brands to design, fabricate and install art programmes 2; teams of twenty consultants working across global hotel clients 3. This page is about the studio end of that chain: how we take your spec, what we send back while the work is being painted, and what arrives at the address you name.

Not you? A hotel buying for its own rooms is on hotel guest-room programmes. A purchasing agent buying against a schedule on the owner's behalf is on FF&E procurement agents. A consultant selecting rather than manufacturing is on art consultants; a shop reselling under its own roof is on galleries & framers. If the brief is the corridors alone, see corridor series.

The sample was approved. Will the run of 120 match it?

What goes wrong. The sample is painted by one hand and signed off by the designer. The run is painted by several hands over three weeks, arrives a shade warmer with looser brushwork, and the designer rejects a third of it on the day it is unpacked. You are now between a hotel that will not move its date and a studio that says the pieces are 'all original anyway'.

What we do. The minimum order is one piece, so the approved sample is a normal order and its photographs become the reference for the run. Every piece in the run is photographed or filmed as it is painted, stage by stage, and the painter continues only once you have approved the stage; you can forward those photographs to the designer while the run is still on the easel rather than after it has crossed the world. Palette is checked against your references at the first stage, not the last.

What we do not claim is mechanical identity. Each piece is painted by hand, signed and certified as an original, so two pieces from the same code differ in the way two hand-painted pieces do. For a guest-room run that is usually the point: one code in three or four named colourways reads as a series across a floor without two rooms matching. Where the brief is 'as close to the sample as possible', say so at order stage and the stage approvals are where you hold the run to it.

Will it land on the date we gave the hotel?

What goes wrong. The hotel's procurement programme is built on committed dates: overseas case goods run 16–20 weeks, delays come from drawing revisions, route changes and holiday closures including Lunar New Year, and the purchasing agent wants clear visibility of lead times and critical order dates for every line 4. Art is ordered late, and a studio that answers 'a few weeks' and then goes quiet turns your line into the one holding up the handover.

What we do. A single piece takes about a week to paint and 3–7 days in transit: 10–13 days door to door, which is the number to use for samples and one-off replacements. For a project run, send the quantity and the deadline with the enquiry; the production schedule is confirmed per project and committed to in writing at quotation, batched by floor or zone if that is how the site is being fitted out. The progress photographs sent at each stage double as milestone reports you can drop into your own tracker, and a tracking number goes to you the moment a batch ships by DHL, FedEx or USPS.

Two honest limits. Monthly capacity is not published; it is answered in the quote against your dates. And if your date sits near a studio holiday, raise it when you brief us, so the written schedule allows for it rather than discovering it in week three.

Will the painters follow our spec, and can they paint our own designs?

What goes wrong. The studio takes a reference image and a size and returns something 'inspired by' it: proportions stretched to fit, the palette drifted from the fabric scheme, a 240 cm wall answered with the largest stock size. Your framer then has to make it fit and your designer has to be talked into it.

What we do. Nothing is held in stock, so every piece is painted for its order and changing it is the normal case. Four routes cover most lines on a hotel schedule:

  • Resize. Any of the 1,455 catalogue works in any dimensions; 2 m and over and panoramic formats are routine. Proportions are adjusted by the painter, not stretched.
  • Recolour. Same composition, your palette. Send fabric, paint or stone references and the first stage photograph is checked against them.
  • Vary. A series built off one piece, so a corridor or a floor of rooms reads as related without repeating.
  • Commission. A new original from your own reference, mood board or site photographs. Sketch approval first, then photo approval before it ships.

Master works by our senior partnered artists are the exception: they are kept exactly as painted and are not a route for schedule lines. A line for us needs only what your schedule already carries: reference code or your reference, size in cm or inches, orientation, palette references, finish and quantity.

How fast is a quote, and how does pricing work when we are the contractor?

What goes wrong. Your bid to the hotel is due on Friday and the studio's price for 140 pieces arrives the following Wednesday, or arrives as a public per-piece price the owner's team can look up. Vertically integrated art firms in the trade now sell themselves on a quote within 72 hours and on avoiding third-party manufacturing delays 5; a subcontractor that cannot match that costs you the bid.

What we do. Every enquiry is quoted within one business day, with the schedule dates in the same document. There is no public price list, so nothing on this site undercuts the price you put to your client. Volume pricing is tiered from 10 pieces per order and quoted per project, so a 40-key select-service package and a 300-key programme are priced on their own quantities. Shipping is free and fully insured worldwide, so it is not a line you add back. Payment is against a proforma invoice, with terms available on repeat accounts.

What the quote does not include: we do not claim parity with print pricing, and if a line on your schedule is three hundred identical images at a fixed unit cost, your own print shop is the right supplier for it. We quote the lines that need a painter.

What arrives, in whose name, and to which address?

What goes wrong. The run arrives at your warehouse when your framer needed it, in one crate when the site wanted it by floor, with a certificate that says nothing a hotel's art register can use, or with no paperwork at all.

What we do. Three things travel with every piece: the painter's signature on the canvas, a certificate of authenticity written in the painter's hand stating that the work is an original, and the progress photographs from the week it was painted, which you keep. That is the provenance you pass to the hotel, and it is the same for a guest-room piece as for a lobby piece.

Delivery to a third party is standard: tell us at order stage and each batch goes to the consignee you name, in any country we ship to, whether that is your framing shop, a consolidator or the site itself, with one tracking number per shipment. Rolled canvas ships in a strong tube, which suits companies that stretch and frame in-house and is usually the cheaper route on long-haul and large formats. Frameless stretched and framed pieces (gold, silver, black, white or wood) ship boxed with hanging hooks. Every shipment is insured; if a piece arrives damaged, unpack it in front of the courier where you can, photograph the packaging and the piece, and send us the photographs; we handle the carrier claim and paint the replacement at no cost.

Stated plainly: we do not offer blind packaging. The parcel is a signed original by its painter and the paperwork says so; you sell it as that, under your own contract and your own installation.

How an order runs for a hospitality art company

The sequence is the same for a 40-piece package and a 300-piece programme; only the batching changes.

  1. Brief. Send the hand-painted lines of your artwork schedule with reference codes or your own references, sizes, palettes, finishes, quantities and the date. The quote form takes a file.
  2. Quote, within one business day. Pricing per line and per tier, plus the production schedule with batch dates, confirmed in writing.
  3. Sample. Usually one piece per family, 10–13 days door to door, shipped rolled or finished as the run will be. The designer approves; the sample's photographs become the reference.
  4. Release. You release the run, or the first batch, against the written schedule. Payment is against a proforma invoice.
  5. Stage approvals. Each piece is photographed or filmed as it is painted; you approve each stage before the painter continues. Forward the photographs to your designer or keep them for the hotel's file.
  6. Dispatch. Batches ship by DHL, FedEx or USPS to the consignee you named, insured, with a tracking number sent as each one leaves; 3–7 days in transit.
  7. On arrival. Check in front of the courier where possible. Damage is replaced at no cost; a reorder in year three is the same code and colourway painted again, because nothing is discontinued.

Master works by senior partnered artists run to their own timeline and may arrive separately; dates for those are confirmed per piece.

What to send us for a quote that comes back complete

The first email is the last clarification round if it carries what your own schedule already has. Send:

  • The hand-painted lines of the artwork schedule, in whatever format you keep it: item code, location, quantity, size in cm or inches, orientation, finish, and the date each zone needs to be on site.
  • A reference per line: our catalogue code (for example TA#053), or your own reference image, sketch or mood board for a commissioned piece.
  • Palette references where the piece is to be recoloured: fabric, paint or stone samples photographed in daylight, or the designer's scheme board.
  • Variation rules for multiples: how many colourways per family, whether adjacent rooms may repeat, and what 'related but not identical' means on this project.
  • Finish per zone: rolled to your shop, frameless stretched, or framed in gold, silver, black, white or wood.
  • Consignees and phases: which batches go to your framer, which to a consolidator, which to site, and in what order.
  • The sample you want first, and who approves it.

You will have a quote and a written schedule within one business day. If a line does not need a painter, we will say so rather than quote it.

Where the catalogue is deep for a hotel package, and where it is thin

Every work carries three to five room tags across both commercial and residential channels, so the room counts overlap and are views of the same 1,455 works rather than partitions. For the zones on a hotel schedule the depth is: Guest Room & Suite 681, Lobby & Reception 557, Restaurant & Bar 525, Corridor & Circulation 447, Spa & Wellness 365, Meeting & Boardroom 224. Within those, the cuts most schedule lines fall into: Guest Room works tagged Calming or Peaceful (512), Corridor verticals (435), Lobby works tagged Bold or Dramatic (381), Restaurant & Bar tagged Cozy & warm or Moody (267), Spa works with a Seascape or Floral & Botanical theme (210).

Two things to know before you map your schedule onto it. Sizes are templated per orientation: every vertical and horizontal work lists the same fourteen sizes up to 203 × 153 cm (80 × 60 in), every panoramic the same eleven up to 127 × 254 cm (50 × 100 in), every square the same ten up to 183 × 183 cm (72 × 72 in). Size therefore never separates one work from another; any work is painted at any size, and the largest listed is a starting point, not a ceiling. And orientation as painted is skewed: corridor works are 97% vertical (435 of 447) and only 62 guest-room works are horizontal as painted, so a horizontal headboard line is a resize of a vertical or square piece rather than a filter. The tiles below open the cuts with live counts.

What we do not claim

A contractor trusts the supplier that states its limits before being asked, so here are ours.

  • No prints. Every piece is hand-painted on canvas; if a line needs reproduction, we are not the supplier for that line.
  • No stock. Nothing ships next day; the fastest a piece exists is about a week after the order, which is also why size, colour and composition can still be changed.
  • No blind packaging. The painter's signature and certificate stay on every piece.
  • No public prices and no published monthly capacity. Both are answered in the quote, within one business day, against your quantities and dates.
  • No certifications. We make no claim about fire ratings, material standards or any compliance scheme; the materials claim is the whole of it: hand-painted on canvas, to order, in any size.
  • No case studies. The schedule below is built from catalogue codes and is marked illustrative; we do not name clients on this page.
  • Master works are not schedule lines. Senior partnered artists' pieces are kept as painted, with provenance and exhibition history in place of changes.

Everything else on this page is what we actually do, and the quote will say the same.

A 150-key hotel art package subcontracted by a hospitality art company, hand-painted lines only — illustrative schedule built from catalogue codes, not a client project

An illustrative schedule built from catalogue references, not a client project. Every piece would be painted to the wall's own dimensions.

Questions hospitality art companies & hotel-art manufacturers ask us

Do you work with hospitality art companies as a subcontractor, or only with hotels directly?
Both, and the subcontractor route is a normal order. You hold the contract with the hotel; we paint the lines you place with us, ship to the consignee you name, and the quote, schedule and stage photographs go to you. Select 'Hospitality art company' on the quote form.
Can you paint from our own designs rather than your catalogue?
Yes. A commission is painted from your reference image, mood board or site photographs, with sketch approval first and photo approval before it ships. Catalogue works can also be resized, recoloured to your fabric or paint references, or varied into a series from one piece.
Will a run of 100 pieces match the sample the designer approved?
Each piece is photographed or filmed stage by stage and the painter continues only when you approve, with palette checked against your references at the first stage. Pieces are hand-painted, so they differ as hand-painted work does; the stage approvals are where you hold the run to the sample.
How long does a run of 100 hand-painted pieces take?
One piece takes about a week to paint and 3–7 days in transit, 10–13 days door to door. A run is scheduled per project: send the quantity and your deadline and the production schedule, batched by floor or zone if you need it, is committed in writing with the quote.
Can you ship to our framer or consolidator instead of to us?
Yes. Tell us the consignee at order stage and each batch goes to that address, in any country we ship to, with one tracking number per shipment. Shipping is free and fully insured by DHL, FedEx or USPS; rolled canvas goes in a tube, finished pieces boxed with hooks.
Is there a minimum order or a public price list?
The minimum is one piece, so the sample is a normal order. There is no public price list; every enquiry is quoted within one business day, with volume pricing tiered from 10 pieces per order and payment against a proforma invoice, with terms available on repeat accounts.
Can we re-order the same piece for a second property two years later?
Yes. Nothing is held in stock and nothing is discontinued, so the same catalogue code and colourway can be painted again for a second property or to replace a damaged room piece. It is painted, signed and certified as a new original by the painter who makes it.
Whose name appears on the work and the certificate?
The painter's. Every piece is signed on the canvas by the painter and ships with a certificate of authenticity in the painter's hand stating that it is an original. We do not offer blind packaging; you supply it to the hotel as a signed original under your own contract.
