About this painting

A black crescent arches over a pale oval near the upper edge, and beneath it a white form flows downward in a long S-curve, cut through by straight-edged panels of slate, navy and dove grey.

The geometry interlocks in the cubist way, curve against right angle: a thin dark line loops across the left side, and two black blocks at the lower corners hold the base. Colours stay within one cool family, from near-black navy through steel blue to cream, with a single hint of pale yellow at upper left. Flat, matte paint is finished with soft dry-brush edges, giving each shape a slightly chalky outline.

AA#1229 is an original abstract geometric painting showing cubist geometric shapes in navy, grey-blue and white, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Black against white at the top and soft blue-grey below, it reads at two distances: across a lobby the crescent and oval register first, while from a chair the drawn lines and chalky edges come forward. It suits a reception wall clad in fluted timber or dark veined stone, or the boardroom wall that every seat at the table faces. Neutral 4000K light keeps the slate blues cool and accurate; very warm lamps dull them toward grey-green.

Specified for lobby & reception, meeting & boardroom, living room and home office; it reads as moody and calming.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for AA#1229 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Flat brushwork takes less paint and time than impasto or relief work of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on AA#1229 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Is AA#1229 meant to show a figure or a vase?

It is left open, which is part of the cubist approach. Some viewers see the white S-curve as a vase, others as a standing figure with the oval as a head. Nothing is spelled out, which keeps it calm in a business setting that a recognisable picture might over-decorate.

How do the black shapes in AA#1229 relate to dark furniture?

The crescent at the top and the two black blocks at the base carry the painting's weight, so they connect with black metal, ebonised wood or a dark leather sofa beneath. With very pale furniture the canvas looks more graphic; with dark pieces it settles into the room.

Is AA#1229 a print or an original painting?

An original. AA#1229 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of AA#1229 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
