About this painting

Periwinkle, navy and terracotta shapes crowd into the top half of the canvas, slotting together like the parts of a dismantled still life, then open out below into wide planes of cream and pale lilac-grey.

Up top the forms are small and busy: navy crescents and blades, brown triangles, a periwinkle shape that turns like a vase in profile. A brown bar crosses the right side above a periwinkle half-moon. Lower down the pace slows, with a navy block at the base and a periwinkle triangle cutting in from the left edge. Throughout, the paint is matte and brushed flat, with a slight drag visible in the blue.

AA#1232 is an original abstract geometric painting showing cubist-style geometric composition in periwinkle, navy, terracotta brown and cream, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Heavy colour at the top and calm cream at the bottom work best when the canvas is approached head-on from several metres away, for instance where an entrance hall ends in a blank wall, or opposite the lifts on a hotel guest floor. It pairs well with grey marble, brushed nickel and dark lacquer, while the terracotta brown links to walnut or cognac leather. Because the surface is flat, a pair of ceiling downlights is all it needs.

Specified for meeting & boardroom, guest room & suite, home office and living room; it reads as calming.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for AA#1232 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Flat brushwork takes less paint and time than impasto or relief work of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on AA#1232 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

How much of AA#1232 comes from cubism?

Quite a lot of its structure: forms broken into flat, interlocking planes, with some shapes hinting at vessels or figures. There is no subject to decode, though, and its periwinkle and cream are far lighter than the ochres and greys of early cubist work, so it reads as a geometric abstract with a cubist accent.

What are the dotted lines across AA#1232?

They are fine dashed lines painted across the pale lower planes and near the top centre, like tacking stitches on fabric. Up close they add a hand-drawn detail; at the far side of a room they fade, leaving the large shapes to carry the composition.

Is AA#1232 a print or an original painting?

An original. AA#1232 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of AA#1232 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
