About this painting

Periwinkle-blue roses crowd the top of a dark branch that climbs in from the lower right corner, and beneath them a second group of peach and blush roses opens around coral centres. Each bloom is modelled in thick, ruffled paint, so the petals stand proud while the leaves stay flat and painterly.

Behind the flowers the ground changes temperature from top to bottom, warm sand-beige at the head of the canvas cooling into clear sky blue at the foot. The blue roses therefore sit against warm colour and the peach ones against cool, which keeps both groups crisp. Leafy sprays and buds trail to the edges.

TA#1214 is an original textured floral painting showing built-up blue and peach roses on a branch over a beige-to-blue ground, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a sculpted relief surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Soft and fairly light in tone, it sits comfortably above a padded headboard or where a hallway terminates, framed by a doorway as guests approach. The beige top melts into oatmeal, cream and putty walls, while the blue lower half picks up chambray bedding or a pale blue rug. A side window or wall washer shows the ruffled petal edges better than flat light from the front.

Specified for guest room & suite, spa & wellness, bedroom and entryway & hallway; it reads as romantic and peaceful.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for TA#1214 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Because the surface is not rolled, the choice is between stretched, ready to hang, and stretched in a frame; a frame costs more.
Surface
Sculpted relief is built up in layers with drying time between them, so it costs more than a flat painting of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on TA#1214 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Why are the roses on TA#1214 painted blue?

Blue roses do not occur in nature, so painters use them to suggest an imagined garden, and they are often read as standing for mystery or the unattainable. Here the blue also links the flowers to the blue at the foot of the ground, tying the top of the canvas to the bottom.

Does the leaning branch on TA#1214 change how it should be hung?

A little. The branch rises from the lower right and leans up to the left, so the blooms mass toward the left half. Centred over a bed it looks balanced; hung off-centre, place it to the right of a window or doorway so the flowers lean toward the opening rather than away from it.

Is TA#1214 a print or an original painting?

An original. TA#1214 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of TA#1214 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
