About this painting

A circle of night sky and silver mountain ridges sits inside a plain white square, the slopes drawn in hundreds of fine, curving raised lines like combed sand.

The top half of the circle is a rough, mottled charcoal navy with the grain of dark stone. Below it the ridges climb to one summit just left of centre, and each slope is made of tightly packed parallel grooves that bend and fold like draped cloth, silver where they catch light and grey where they hold shadow. The white corners isolate the round image, so it seems to float.

TA#1203 is an original textured landscape painting showing circular tondo of finely ridged mountain slopes under a dark mottled sky, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a sculpted relief surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 10 standard sizes run from 24×24 in (61×61 cm) to 72×72 in (183×183 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

A round image in a square suits walls where a rectangle would feel busy: centred over a low credenza, on a short stretch between two doors, or alone in a small showroom bay. On a white wall the corners disappear and the circle seems to hang by itself; against concrete, charcoal limewash or smoked oak the whole square shows. Both work, so choose by whether you want a round or a square presence.

Specified for gallery & retail, meeting & boardroom, home office and bedroom; it reads as moody and peaceful.

Pairs well with

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for TA#1203 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 24×24 in to 72×72 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Because the surface is not rolled, the choice is between stretched, ready to hang, and stretched in a frame; a frame costs more.
Surface
Sculpted relief is built up in layers with drying time between them, so it costs more than a flat painting of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on TA#1203 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

How are the fine lines on the slopes made?

They are combed into a thick textured layer while it is still workable, then toned in grey and white so the crests catch light and the grooves keep their shadow. Because the lines stand up from the surface, they shift subtly as you walk past.

Is the dark sky meant as night or as a storm?

Night is the usual reading. The charcoal navy has no cloud shapes, only a mottled, stony grain like a dark sky with faint light in it. Against it the pale ridges look moonlit, which gives the work its quiet, slightly austere mood.

Is TA#1203 a print or an original painting?

An original. TA#1203 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of TA#1203 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
