About this painting

A grid of square tiles is being overrun by a tide of warm grey swirls. Stippled white squares, rough as sugar crust, hold the top rows and the lower left corner, while taupe-grey combed plaster surges up through the right half and across the middle, tearing the tile edges into ragged white fragments.

The swirls are cut in tight parallel grooves that curl into eddies near the bottom centre. Faint grid lines still run under the grey, so the order shows through the current, and a few tiles at the left are smoothed flat and pale, as if wiped clean.

TA#1212 is an original textured geometric painting showing white and grey plaster panel with a grid of textured squares and combed swirl relief, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a sculpted relief surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Its square grid echoes glass block, panelled joinery and tiled floors, so it reads as part of the architecture in a monochrome scheme of white bouclé, black lacquer and pale concrete. Because the swirls fill the right half, it balances well where a doorway or window sits to its left. A wall washer fixed close to the canvas brings out the combed grooves; flat frontal light leaves the white tiles chalky and the swirls dull.

Specified for workspace & office, meeting & boardroom, corridor & circulation, home office and guest room & suite; it reads as peaceful.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for TA#1212 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Because the surface is not rolled, the choice is between stretched, ready to hang, and stretched in a frame; a frame costs more.
Surface
Sculpted relief is built up in layers with drying time between them, so it costs more than a flat painting of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on TA#1212 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Are the white squares in TA#1212 smooth or rough?

Mostly rough: each white tile is stippled into a granular crust that looks like sugar or coral, with a few smoother pale squares at the left edge. The grey swirls are different again, cut into fine parallel grooves, so the texture changes wherever the two surfaces meet.

Does TA#1212 work in a room with warm wood rather than cool grey?

Yes. The grey of the swirls is warm, closer to taupe than steel, so it sits comfortably with oak, walnut and linen. In a warm room the white tiles read as cream; among glass, chrome and white stone the whole piece leans toward silver.

Is TA#1212 a print or an original painting?

An original. TA#1212 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of TA#1212 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
