About this painting

A broad white sweep cuts diagonally across a black canvas from upper right to lower left, and a bush of fifteen crimson roses grows straight up through it.

The sweep is not pure white: streaks of cobalt and sky blue run through it, and its torn edges break into the gritty-looking black like surf on a dark shore. The blooms are heaped and ruffled rather than spiralled, broad green leaves catch light along their rims, and two woody stems cross near the base above a tuft of grass.

TA#1213 is an original textured floral painting showing sculpted red rose bush over a white and blue splash on a black textured ground, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a sculpted relief surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Its slanting sweep has momentum, which suits a wall people pass on the move: beside a reception desk, along the approach to a bar, or opposite the door of a living room. Peach and blush walls, as in its room views, soften the black; a dark wall makes the white sweep the brightest thing in the space. Hang it alone rather than in a group, since its black border would fight neighbouring frames.

Specified for lobby & reception, restaurant & bar, living room and dining room; it reads as bold and dramatic.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for TA#1213 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Because the surface is not rolled, the choice is between stretched, ready to hang, and stretched in a frame; a frame costs more.
Surface
Sculpted relief is built up in layers with drying time between them, so it costs more than a flat painting of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on TA#1213 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

How does TA#1213 differ from the rose relief TA#023?

Both set red roses on black, but here the pale ground is a diagonal sweep streaked with blue instead of a central glow, the blooms are ruffled instead of carved in spirals, and the bush grows from two crossing stems. TA#1213 feels windblown; TA#023 is more upright and symmetrical.

Do the blue streaks in TA#1213 matter when planning a colour scheme?

Yes. The cobalt and sky-blue marks inside the white sweep let it sit comfortably with navy or blue-grey accents as well as warm woods, which a strictly red, black and white rose picture would not. Repeating that blue in a cushion or glass vase ties it into the room.

Is TA#1213 a print or an original painting?

An original. TA#1213 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of TA#1213 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
