About this painting

Two silver bursts explode across a tall black canvas, one fanning out from the left edge low down and a smaller one spraying from the upper right, their rays flicked out as hundreds of fine, sharp strokes. Between them a raised band of granular silver winds down the full height in a slow S, dividing the canvas like a river viewed from a plane window.

The black ground is grainy rather than smooth, scattered with silver specks near the top left like a night sky. The rays are densest at their sources and thin out toward the band, so the two bursts seem to reach for each other without touching.

TA#1209 is an original textured geometric painting showing silver radiating bursts on black split by a curving silver band, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a sculpted relief surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 11 standard sizes run from 18×36 in (46×91 cm) to 50×100 in (127×254 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

In a bar or restaurant with low, warm lighting, the silver rays pick up every point of light while the black merges into a dark wall, so the bursts appear to float; on white paint the whole panel reads as a sharp dark slab. It sits well with smoked mirror, black marble, chrome and dark-stained timber. Hung where a lobby or corridor ends, it carries a long way, because the winding band leads the eye down its full length.

Specified for corridor & circulation, entryway & hallway, lobby & reception and restaurant & bar; it reads as dramatic and bold.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for TA#1209 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 18×36 in to 50×100 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Because the surface is not rolled, the choice is between stretched, ready to hang, and stretched in a frame; a frame costs more.
Surface
Sculpted relief is built up in layers with drying time between them, so it costs more than a flat painting of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on TA#1209 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

What does the winding band in TA#1209 stand for?

It is abstract, but it is easily read as a river or road winding through a night landscape, or as the gap between two fireworks. In practice it splits the canvas into two halves of different weight, the larger burst on the left and the smaller at top right.

How does the silver in TA#1209 change with the lighting?

Under warm, low light the silver strokes take on a faint gold cast and glint softly; under cool daylight or white LED they look whiter and more graphic. The granular band breaks light into small points along its length, so a spot aimed from above makes it the brightest line on the wall.

Is TA#1209 a print or an original painting?

An original. TA#1209 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of TA#1209 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
