About this painting

Two broad steel-blue ribbons fold across a white canvas, their surfaces combed into dozens of fine parallel ridges that follow every bend. The larger enters along the top edge, swells into a rounded lobe and pinches into a narrow column running off the bottom right; the second sweeps in from the left and curves down beneath it.

Where they meet, just right of centre, the ridges bunch like gathered cloth. White survives in three gaps, at the upper left, on the left side and at the foot, and darker blue settles in the grooves, so one colour still shows depth.

TA#1206 is an original textured abstract painting showing blue combed relief ribbons filling the canvas, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a sculpted relief surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

In a reception area it belongs behind a pale stone or white oak desk, where one cool blue reads clean and quiet, which suits clinics, spas and boutique hotels. In a guest suite, hang it facing the bed and repeat the blue in a throw or cushion. Travertine, limewash, brushed nickel and light grey wool all work with it, and a warm beige wall makes the blue look crisper.

Specified for corridor & circulation, lobby & reception, entryway & hallway and guest room & suite; it reads as calming and bold.

Pairs well with

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for TA#1206 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Because the surface is not rolled, the choice is between stretched, ready to hang, and stretched in a frame; a frame costs more.
Surface
Sculpted relief is built up in layers with drying time between them, so it costs more than a flat painting of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on TA#1206 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Are the ridges on TA#1206 painted stripes or real relief?

Real relief. They are combed into the thick relief layer while it is still soft, so each ridge stands up from the surface and casts its own thin shadow. The blue pools slightly in the grooves, which is why the folds look darker even though only one colour is used.

What colours pair with the steel blue of TA#1206?

Warm neutrals give it the most life: oatmeal, sand, camel leather and honey oak make the blue look clear and cool. Greys and whites keep it quiet and architectural. Avoid bright turquoise or royal blue close by, as they make this greyed blue look dull.

Is TA#1206 a print or an original painting?

An original. TA#1206 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of TA#1206 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
