About this painting

Two thick white sweeps of the knife cross a tall canvas washed in taupe and pale grey, one arcing over the top left and one stretching flat across the lower third. Against them stand two black masses: a ragged, upward-pointing shape on the right that splinters at its tip like a dark tree, and a rounded block at the bottom left.

Fine black lines fall in loops from the top edge and cross the middle, and near the bottom a faint lattice of light lines crosses touches of pale blue. The ground is laid in soft vertical drags, so the heavy white and black sit on something quiet.

TA#1210 is an original textured abstract painting showing thick white plaster sweeps, black patches and thin black lines on grey, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a sculpted relief surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 11 standard sizes run from 18×36 in (46×91 cm) to 50×100 in (127×254 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Behind the top chair of a boardroom table, the grey and white keeps the room neutral through long sessions, while the two black masses give the wall enough structure to register from the opposite end. Its narrow shape suits the slim wall between two doors or beside a tall living-room window. It sits with pale grey carpet, white oak, black window frames and chrome; repeat the black in a chair frame or lamp base to tie the room to its dark shapes.

Specified for corridor & circulation, meeting & boardroom, entryway & hallway and living room; it reads as moody and calming.

Pairs well with

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for TA#1210 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 18×36 in to 50×100 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Because the surface is not rolled, the choice is between stretched, ready to hang, and stretched in a frame; a frame costs more.
Surface
Sculpted relief is built up in layers with drying time between them, so it costs more than a flat painting of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on TA#1210 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

What is the lattice of fine lines near the bottom of TA#1210?

A loose cross-hatch of thin pale grey and white lines laid over a patch of light blue, just right of the black block. From across a room it disappears into the ground, but close up it adds a drawn, almost architectural detail beneath the heaviest shape on the canvas.

Will the greys of TA#1210 work in a room with warmer colours?

Yes. The ground has a taupe, slightly warm undertone, not a cool one, which lets it sit easily with greige walls, oatmeal linen and walnut as well as with cool whites. The black shapes give a warm room a crisp edge without introducing another colour.

Is TA#1210 a print or an original painting?

An original. TA#1210 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of TA#1210 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
